Who we are

We are so excited to share The Yellow Dog Brand with you! Parker is a career firefighter in King County WA. He loves his job and serving the community; on his days off Parker enjoys working out, learning more about his Grandparents’ farm in Ellensburg, WA, spending time with Waylen, hunting, and now… managing The YD Brand. Alexis is a Boise State graduate where she studied business and CJ. She is currently a human resource manager for a local Washington company and loves her job. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her favorite 2 boys, hiking, working out, crafting and helping Parker with the brand. We decided to name The Yellow Dog Brand after our sweet and energetic pup, Waylen, who has become such an important part of our lives since the day we brought him home. When we decided to create a brand it didn’t take long to decide to involve our pup in one way or another. As the YD Brand became a symbol of us and our lives, we soon established The Yellow Dog Brand Livestock Evacuation as a nonprofit in Washington State that saves animals from wildfires.

As wildfire season began in 2021, Parker knew he wanted to help homeowners in the fire areas on his days off. He decided to create a livestock evacuation chairy using the YD brand. Parker and Alexis are putting this idea and dream into action the following spring as the wildfires begin again in 2022. We officially a Washington State nonprofit as of August 2021. Afterwards we received our 501(c)3 status from the IRS. Parker’s knowledge of firefighting and being involved with the community helps us understand how devastating the fires can be to individuals and their communities. We recognize the importance of livestock and how they are such a vital aspect of many families’ livelihoods. The YDB Livestock Evacuation will work with individuals and government agencies to transport livestock out of areas immediately threatened by wildfires.
